Starter Package Benefits

Over Six years ago  we started our herd with 4 pregnant females. We choose to take advantage of starter packages of quality females at reduced prices from two experienced breeders. Their herd reduction was our gain. Our decision enabled us to get a head start on building our herd with experienced dams that were pregnant and expecting within six months. One of the pregnant females had a female cria at side. So our single price purchase was really a 3 in 1. I strongly believe that a start-up breeder benefits from purchasing experienced dams along with maidens. If you have never birthed a cria - the experienced dams will teach you how it is done. And that creates peace of mind like you wouldn't believe.

Quality Alpaca Package

This wonderful sweet herd of female alpacas needs a new home. They are currently located in KS. The owner, a long time breeder of quality and excellence needs to sell her remaining herd. She has been holding on to her best...alas, after 15 years of breeding she needs to retire. She asked if our service would find only qualified buyers who would care for her gems in the same way that she cared for them.

She paid for top of the line studs to breed to her girls and the results speak for themselves. This package includes her best foundation female Peruvian Chaccu's Sweet Adeline (Addie) and 2 of her daughters (one is 4 and the other is 2 years old) and a yearling grand daughter.

Check out the fleece qualities in the histograms listed below. If you would like assistance in the interpretation of these excellent results, just let me know. However; don't wait too long because this package will go quickly.

** Now includes 2 full months of board and care

Sweet Adeline

The Matriarch of this small herd is Sweet Adeline.

She comes from outstanding genetics. Her sire is 5 Peruvian Chaccu, sire of multiple champions. His owners, Crescent Moon Ranch declare that he is the densest alpaca they have ever touched! Adeline or as we call her, Addie, carries Chaccu's fine Peruvian genetics and has shown the strength of these in the three female crias she has produced.

Addie is conformationally correct, births easily and has abundant milk. She is beige in color consistent throughout a very fine fleece that exhibits good crimp and uniformity. Addie is dense, has long staple and overall excellent coverage in her bright fleece. Even the results of her 6th shearing demonstrate a desirable retained fineness that is hard to achieve in breeding females.

Sweet Adeline's 2006 cria, KAC Sunshine Su, is an outstanding light fawn female. Even as a very young cria, this young lady exhibited very dense, very crimpy, soft as can be, fleece. Addie's second cria, Titanium's Davita, born in October, 2007, carries the awesome fiber genetics of both her parents in her very fine, crimpy white fleece. Addie's third cria, Destino's Jeanette, was born in May 2009. Jeanette is medium fawn, sired by PCA Destino from the famed Peruvian Accoyo Camilio line, and is sure to turn heads.

Addie is from one of the best foundation lines, demonstrating the ability to pass on excellent fiber quality and healthy offspring, superior to their dam and sire. As an added bonus, Addie is one of the sweetest alpacas you could ever meet.

Addie is ready to breed... Another Davita perhaps.

Davita with cria Grace

This Legacy granddaughter has matured into a real beauty both in looks and temperament. Daughter of our award winning Peruvian Accoyo Legacy son, Crescent Moon's Titanium, Davita exhibits the fineness, density and crimp
with excellent coverage that is the hallmark of this line. Add to the mix her maternal grandsire, Peruvian Chaccu, and you will see that this girl is a powerhouse of proven genetics. Both these genetic lines have known history in relation to fiber, reproduction and health - no guessing here.

Davita has a bright, superfine fleece with consistent high frequency crimp throughout and a super soft handle. Both her sire Titanium and dam, Peruvian Chaccu's Sweet Adeline, have maintained their excellent fiber traits as they have matured. We would expect Davita to do the same.

Davita's dam is a reproductively sound female, very healthy as is her mother before her, producing healthy, energetic cria with no assistance.

In June, 2010 Davita gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Waverider's Grace, by our Hemingway grandson, Nautilus' Waverider. Davita is exactly what you are looking for in a young proven female. She caught on one breeding, delivered unassisted, had all the right mothering instincts and plenty of milk. Her daughter, Grace is delightful with fiber like thistledown and packed full of well known and proven genetics. (See the write-up on Grace.)

Davita is currently not bred but we can soon change that. We would have no hesitation in repeating a breeding to Waverider, but Black N' Gold would be a wonderful option too. Either way this is an exceptional package!

Destino's Jeanette

WOW! This little girl is just loaded with proven genetics. Destino's Jeanette is from outstanding bloodlines. With Peruvian Accoyo Camilio and Peruvian Hemingway on her sire's side and 5Peruvian Chaccu and Crescent Moon's Adara on her dam's, she has powerful genetics behind her. With information available from many generations it's possible to trace the health, production and fiber traits of her bloodlines which are undeniably top quality.

Both her sire, PCA Destino and her dam. Peruvian Chaccu's Sweet Adeline, produce offspring with superfine, dense and crimpy fleece that maintain their fineness as they mature. Add to this the superb mothering traits from her dam's line and this young lady is one to snap up for your herd for the future. Her medium fawn fleece is truly a magnificent color with the brightness and fineness inherited from her parents.

Waverider's Grace

Born on a Tuesday and so dainty and graceful, so the name chose itself.

This young lady is a powerhouse of well established, proven bloodlines. In one small bundle you will find Legacy, Chaccu, Hemingway, Vengador and the Acero Marka's Mr Know it All. In addition to these fine genetics you have solid female producers and fine fiber. What more could you ask?

Grace was just shorn and the fiber assessment revealed a very bright white, 20 micron AFD with a soft handle. This was expected given her Sire’s retained fineness.

Nautilus' Waverider (the Sire) has beautifully bright, dense, uniform and fine fleece with high frequency crimp and excellent coverage. His fiber statistics reflect his heritage. Waverider is maintaining his fine fiber characteristics with a low micron count of 20.45 in his fourth year.

Buyers Note
Many alpaca owners who have been involved in the alpaca lifestyle have found it both personally and financially rewarding. Please recognize, however, that owning alpacas involves significant financial risks, as does any business start-up. Your ultimate success will be determined by your own ability to market your animals: your fiber and finished goods: your employment of available resources within the alpaca industry: your communication skills: and your ability and willingness to provide top-notch customer service that results in a good reputation. Although breeding alpacas can be a profitable business venture, it is, of course, impossible to guarantee the ultimate success of any business.
